Biographical information

Mentor, Entrepreneur, Community supporter and advocate for men and families, Eric Marsh, Sr has been active helping others flourish for nearly 20 years. Having extensive experience as a facilitator for adult and youth programs with organizations such as PASCEP, Frontline Dads, The Frator Heru Institute, Focus on Fathers and others. He spent a decade operating his own business as a General Contractor after working many years as a union carpenter. Eric brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his mission of inspiring and informing men and boys. He has served as a workshop presenter, panelist and planning committee member for events such as The Black Male Development Symposium (BMDS), the SDP FACT Academy, Focus on Fathers and others. Active in the Nicetown community, he has led teams of volunteers for a number of events including the Nicetown Give-Back, Kevin Hart mural unveiling, etc. A long-time education advocate, Eric has been a parent volunteer at Mary McLeod Bethune and Cleveland Elementary schools and most recently served at Edward T Steel school as a parent volunteer and President of the School Advisory Council. He currently serves as President of the Neighborhood Advisory Sub-committee for the Nicetown CDC NAC, he sits on the Mayor’s Commission on African American Males and was recently appointed as a Board member for The Men’s Center for Growth and Change and North American MenEngage (NAMEN). Mr. Marsh is one of the founding members of The Fathering Circle, a peer support organization where fathers examine male socialization, its impact on them and its residual effects on women, children and families.
