Biographical information

Philadelphia local, Texas transplant by way of Vietnam, Dr. Krysti (Lan Chi) Vo is a physician first; following close behind, she’s an advisor, advocate, consultant, researcher, writer, and speaker. Her expertise spans from mental health collaborative care, pediatrics, autism, and developmental disabilities to healthcare-related technology, chatbots, digital health, telehealth and more.

Dr. Vo is a psychiatrist committed to addressing challenges faced by individuals with psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders. Her focus is on characterizing and understanding the pockets of need in the healthcare delivery systems and addressing those needs with the use of advocacy and medical innovation. Her experiences in technology include consulting with eClinicalWorks and APA PsychPRO Registry, and participating in a fellowship with Mount Sinai Innovation Partners. She is currently on the AACAP Health Information Technology Committee and Telepsychiatry Committee. She aims to improve healthcare by combining evidence-based research with technology and design to implement effective and impactful clinical solutions; for which she has research support.

A multifaceted award winner, nearly two-dozen organizations have recognized Dr. Vo, including awards from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). Dr. Vo has held many highly-regarded leadership roles within the profession, such as terms on the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Psychiatric Physician Association and of AACAP. She is a graduate of the DiverseForce on Board program, a board governance training program, from the University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves as the APA Assembly Representative for the Asian American Caucus

In her free time, she provides clinical and business development consultant services to startup health tech companies. She also serves as an Advisor for DreamIT Ventures, a fund and growth program focused on startups with revenue or pilots that are ready to scale. Beyond medicine, Dr. Vo is an avid skier, has run the NYC Marathon and enjoys philanthropic endeavors - when she isn’t dancing! Her entrepreneurial interests include ECD (daycare, nursery, & childcare services), children’s books and software/services related to personal finance, personal assistance and productivity.
