Biographical information
LaDeshia Maxwell is the newly appointed deputy southeast regional director for Governor Tom Wolf and the executive director for the Governor’s Advisory Commission on African American Affairs.
Maxwell is a dedicated public servant – working on political campaigns, local and state government, and the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining the Office of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, she worked as an associate at the Pew Charitable Trusts on policy issues affecting Black Philadelphia residents including economic development, housing, polling, and workforce development.
Maxwell is also the Policy Chair for She Can Win, an organization that empowers Black and Brown women in every aspect of their lives so they can become leaders in their community and/or run for elected office. Ms. Maxwell holds a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration and a minor in Communication Studies from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Master of Public Policy from DePaul University with a focus on urban policy.
